NM Coupling
NM Coupling
The NM Cast Iron Coupling is a solid, resilient coupling primarily characterized by its hubs being constructed from cast iron, offering a cost-effective and robust solution for moderate-speed, high-torque applications. This is typically a jaw-style coupling, using a flexible, non-metallic insert (elastomer) to bridge the gap between the two cast iron hubs. The cast iron construction provides excellent resistance to wear and abrasion and offers good inertia characteristics for general machinery. While the cast iron hubs provide the necessary rigidity and strength, the elastomer insert handles all the flexibility requirements—dampening shocks and compensating for misalignments. Binhao ensures strict quality control on the casting and subsequent machining of the hubs, guaranteeing dimensional accuracy and strength. The NM coupling is often deployed in general industrial power transmission systems such as pumps, fans, and mixers, providing a durable, non-lubricated link that offers longevity and reliable vibration isolation.
